Boston 4/21/2018
Mystery bug in my backyard, Boston, MA. September 26, 2018. Very balmy out tonight, over 70 degrees still, if that matters. I've heard this bug on and off during the summer. Whenever I go out to try and find it though it goes quiet.
I had an extremely brief glimpse at a hooded warbler about 10 minutes before this in some low shrubs. Singing was coming from that general vicinity...I can't tell if there's a hooded in this sound sample
Any ideas?
Aside from the Cardinal & Redstarts....anything else stand out in the recording?
Outside of boston, in marshy scrub.....there's 4 iterations of call...I can't tell if the first 2 and last 2 are the same bird.
Heard in marshy meadow outside Boston
