For a special occasion, you were given gifts from your friends. One of which was very special, and something you've wanted for some time.
However, the one who gave you this special gift seemed a bit off - life they were guilty of something.
You confront them. You ask what's wrong, and after enough persistence, you discover that they had not bought you the gift, but they were asked to give it to you and take the credit by someone you no longer get along with.
