As my woes
Lost in translation
Touch starvation
Yearning, feverish writhing
Don't even come close
To describing
My daily foes
A myriad
Of words like saudade
Less verbose but similar (they suppose)
To melancholic longing
Yet more profound
Lost between our tongues
But found in our silence
Sleep-talking Luso-English gibberish
Your penetrating tongue
Taking over mind and body
So that when we speak
Nothing is lost between us
