The Cold Hill Side inspired by
Author’s summary:
“From beyond the grave, a man tells the story of how he met his end. In his final moments, he had been seduced by a mysterious lady he met in the woods. Once she had her way with him, she lulled him to sleep, only for him to wake up and discover his fate.”
Additional Author’s notes:
“Here’s a script inspired by the classic Keats poem, La Belle Dame sans Merci. Literally, “the beautiful lady without mercy.” The subject of the poem is a sort of femme fatale fairy (quite the alliteration) who seduces and ultimately leads a knight to his death. I believe we’re not allowed to post links to images here, so I’ll tell you that this script was inspired by both Keats’s poem, as well as the painting of the same name by John William Waterhouse.
But here’s a taste of the poem:
And there she lullèd me asleep,
And there I dreamed—Ah! woe betide! —
The latest dream I ever dreamt
On the cold hill side.
