Script Notes: This script, by the brilliant /u/totallynotnatalie, is done in the style of noir fiction. It is meant to mimic the voiceover given at the beginning of most old noir films. It is technically part of a longer series, but each part should work in isolation. Like most noir, this takes place in the 1920s in this case on a 1920s ocean liner.

I grumbled to myself as glanced in the mirror. All I wanted was a damn lipstick that lasted longer than an altar boy on his wedding night.
*sigh* I shouldn't be surprised. In my line of work, any type of decency was hard to find.
I suppose I should have thought myself lucky to have a break from it. But, in truth, I craved mystery more than I had ever craved any man. Even on vacation, my mind longed for another case.
This series was created by u/totallynotnatalie, and I am so glad I stumbled upon it! I have been itching to do a series, especially something from a different era~
Taking a vacation from detective work is the last thing I really wanted, but after being urged to step away for awhile I couldn't help but comply. Good thing crime tends to follow me wherever I go. And here I thought being stuck on this ocean liner would be boring on top of a complete waste of days. The thrill of a time limit, the pressure to catch a singular person with only so many places to hide. Perhaps these strangers in the night will help provide just the right insight I need to solve the case.
