> The narrator is a young medicine woman/hedgewitch who lives outside a medieval town who is basically a woman's doctor with actual magic skills. In my head, she's equal parts Ellen from Pillars of the Earth, Favrielle from Kushiel's Chosen, and Devi from the Kingkiller series - so kinda crabby, quite smart, and more than a bit lonely and isolated.
