This was really personal and goes through some of MY coping mechanisms when I have an attack. This isn't a substitute for therapy or treatment. But I hope maybe it gives you something a little warmer to listen to.
While making dinner, you start feeling the anxiety rising after accidentally cutting your finger, the straw that breaks the camel's back. Hiding yourself in the bathroom, you try to calm down on your own before your partner arrives. You don’t want them to ever see you like this, fearing that they would leave you if they did. When they come home, though, you still need to get over it, and that’s when they find out about your panic attacks.
