Our first bedtime story and fairy tale in quite some time, The Elf of the Rose is a bit of a dour story about karma, consequences, and in that old-timey fairy tale kind way, about why you should be a good person so terrible things don't happen to you. Either way, regardless of subject matter, I hope that you all enjoy this lesser-known work of Andersen's and that you're able to get some good rest tonight. ♥

I've decided to take a short break from the Grimm Tales, as we've exhausted most of the more well-known ones, so for tonight's bedtime story, we'll be reading another Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale by the name of The Brave Tin Soldier! I hope you all enjoy a look at one of my favorite Andersen stories, and one of the major inspirations for Pixar's Toy Story :)
